Theory of Library 2.0 with four elements

Theories for Library 2.0 could be understood to have these four essential elements:-

  • User-centered - users participate in creation of the content and services that they view where the libraries web-presence it in their Library 2.0 and the funtion of the library and users are shown.
  • Provides a multi media experience - the collections and services of the Library 2.0 contain video and audio components.
  • Socially rich - two ways of communication where it includes users presences as the way to communicate with the librarians and others as value added information to meets the users satifaction.
  • Communally innovative - Libraries as part of comunity services and the library should change according to the needs of users with Library 2.0 the users are allow to change the libraries as to utilize information. (Maness, J.M., 2006)
